The Rotary Foundation Minute
November 17, 2016
The programs of The Rotary Foundation are funded in two different ways: the Annual Fund and the Endowment Fund. The Annual Fund is the primary source of unrestricted support for the programs of The Rotary Foundation.  It supports programs in more than 200 geographical regions, from digging clean water wells for villages in Africa to reaching basic literacy skills to children in Latin America.  Each day, thousands of Rotarians volunteer their time and expertise to ensure that all contributions given to the Annual Fund are spent wisely on quality Rotary projects.
In the 2015-16 Rotary year, $134 million was donated to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund.  The Annual Fund is supported by donations from the public at large; as a practical matter, substantially all contributions come from Rotarians and friends of Rotary.  Only if Every Rotarian makes a gift to the Annual Fund Every Year will we be able to continue to do the great work of our Rotary Foundation.

He requested you to look for an area that you would like to get involved in and serve (whether as a board member, an event lead, or an event team member).  Also, let’s make sure we continue to welcome our new members by getting them involved in our conversations and club activities immediately, and let’s continue to take our club forward with our renewed passion, compassion and commitment.”
