Iron Horse Trail Project

This was a community project that was a collaborative project with the City of San Ramon to enhance the Iron Horse Trail through the installation of ten rest nodes featuring benches, trees, scrubs and irrigation.  The project will entailed a joint Rotary Club workday project featuring a cleanup campaign along the trail with Cal High Interact and San Ramon Scouts.

 

Here is the conclusion of this collaborative project. We also awarded cash prizes to 3 winners of our essay contest. Contestants were asked to explain what the Iron Horse Trail means to them and the community. It was a wonderful chance to work with the City of San Ramon and all of our local Rotary Clubs!!
